FAQ
When Should I Place My Order?
We always recommend the sooner the better to secure your date. We tend to book up quickly! For weddings, at least three months, and for custom orders at least two weeks depending on the season. However, we are always open to exploring options to accommodate your order, and certain dates may be available.
Orders are not secured until a deposit or full payment has been made.
Do You Offer Delivery?
Yes! For an extra fee, we offer delivery for orders over $200 and deliver up to about 45 minutes from Akron, Ohio.
Do You Offer Wedding Tastings?
Yes. We currently offer contactless tastings where you can choose three cake flavors and three filling flavors for two people for $30. Tastings are set up sparely so you and mix and match your flavors to try different combinations. The availability of dessert tastings is dependent on the specific items you would like to sample. For further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Are There Cakes Available For Immediate Service?
Unfortunately, no. All cakes are for custom order only.
How Should I Serve My Cake?
Each cake includes a cake care card with transportation, storage, and servings suggestions. Cakes should be served at room temperature. Depending on the size of your cake, please leave it out of the fridge for 1-3 hours before enjoying. For leftover cake, press a piece of parchment paper on cut sides and store in the refrigerator.
How Should I Transport My Cake?
-
Hold the cake box from the bottom and not the sides.
-
Make sure to place the cake box in a completely flat area in your car. The flattest spot is in the trunk of an SUV, or the floor on the passenger’s side of a sedan. Do not place the cake on a seat, as they are never completely flat. Do not have a friend hold the cake on their lap.
-
Cakes travel best when they are cold. When you pick up your cake, it will be chilled, and your car should be also. During the summer, we recommend using the AC on your way over to our shop to cool down your car, and then leaving the AC on while transporting the cake.
-
If you’re traveling with a cake during the winter, make sure it is not placed near an air vent with hot air shooting out. Try to keep the car as cold as possible.
